I can't verbalise, I can't speak,
I try and I try, but I'm at my peak.
Words rush out my mouth unclear,
And nobody wants to hear.
Why listen to someone with a stutter?
Why should you care what I have to utter?
Growing impatient as I try to explain,
I know to you it's just a pain.
But when I write, you'll listen.
My explanations suddenly glisten.
I am clear now, so I have your attention,
So listen to what I'm about to mention.
My written words are my vice,
I never need to repeat myself twice.
I'm understood, I can be free,
That's why writing's important to me.
