It's been nearly six months... I AM SO SORRY!!!!! Blame my university for giving me too much work!!!!! But I promise you guys now that I'll try get one at every couple of weeks! Well enjoy!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A dark cloud had descended on the Funbari Hot Springs. It had been five days since Ryu's death. There was an atmosphere of pain and resentment which caused a lack of communication between the residents, making the house an uncomfortable place to be.
"Hana get back here!" Tamao demanded as she followed him to the front door.
"Why?!" He snapped back, not looking at her, "So I can sit and feel sorry for myself like everyone else? Somehow I don't bloody think so." The young teenager stormed out of the house, slamming the door aggressively as he left. The pink haired shaman sunk to her knees and started sobbing into her hands.
"Get up." Said an emotionless voice. Tamao looked up to see Anna standing beside her, offering her hand which she took in order to stand up.
"I'm sorry Anna..." she mumbled apologetically, "I tried to make him stay but he's not listening to me." She started crying again.
"Stop crying. Pregnancy has made you soft. I wasn't nearly as emotional when I was expecting Hana."
Her friend held back her tears for she knew that Anna wasn't being intentionally mean and behind her words was a message of caring for both Tamao and her unborn child. "But at least he got to know his father. This baby's not gonna know his. Or hers. Whatever it is. And it's not like... like Ryu knew either... How am I going to explain it to them when they ask about their dad?"
Anna then unexpectedly hugged Tamao and whispered in her ear "As Yoh always says, it'll work out. The baby will get plenty of love from you and will understand." Her attention was suddenly diverted her eyes looking towards the ceiling as if the blonde shaman was trying to see through it.
Tamao immediately knew what was wrong. "How's Yoh been coping?"
"I've been managing to control his mood so he doesn't go... into that state, but other than that, he hasn't really been talking. It's like he's gone into shock or something."
"It's ironic. One of the Asakura men has gone reclusive while the other one is the total opposite."
"Grief can vary from person to person." Anna sighed. "I'm worried about Yoh. What if this leads to an uncontrollable darkness, and he somehow develops the Reishi. The same thing happened to Hao, it could very easily happen to Yoh-"
"I'm sure it won't. Just give it time, and continue what you're doing. I'm sure he appreciates it." The women smiled at each. Through their love of the same man, they had a unique understanding of each other's feelings. The moment was interrupted by the noise of an argument.
"I don't understand why I have to be nice to her!" The girls recognised the voice to be Lyserg's. They noted a high level of aggression in his tone.
"No one's saying you have to be nice! Just don't blame her for it!" Manta shouted back, surprising both Anna and Tamao so much they instantly ran to the source of the argument. When they got there, Manta and Lyserg were squaring off with each other. The green haired shaman wore an expression of pain and anger while his friend had one of hurt.
"What the hell is going on here?" Anna demanded which was responded with both of the men rapidly explaining their side of the story, making it difficult to for her to understand either of them.
"Would you be quiet?!" Tamao roared in frustrated. She walked up to Lyserg and slapped him around his face, then did the same to Manta. "You!" She glared at her first victim, causing him to jump, "Explain first."
"I just don't understand why... she's still allowed to be here..."
"She has a name Lyserg..." Manta muttered spitefully.
"Well as far as I'm concerned, she's dead to me."
"Enough!" Anna interrupted, "Opacho is here because she is a friend. What happened with Ryu was an accident; she didn't know what she was doing, and you know that."
"And besides," Manta shouted, suddenly fuming again, tears flooding from his eyes, "It's your fault he's dead anyway! It was you tormenting Opacho about Hao which caused her to react the way she did and making Ryu defend you! If anyone should have died, it should have been you!"
Everyone was taken aback by Manta's harsh words, but the short shaman was beyond caring and started to march off however he walked right into Yoh. "I'm sorry!" He stammered, but his friend gazing forward, as if seeing something that no one else could. Manta finally looked at him properly. Yoh's face was sunken in with grief and although he wore his signature smile, there was an air of sadness to it.
His wife's face suddenly softened. "Are you okay Yoh?" She tried her hardest to keep her voice emotionless but the tone came out as gentle and soft. Her husband nodded slightly at her, confirming that he was okay, and then his attention went to his short friend. Yoh knelt down and hugged Manta.
"I think Yoh's saying cheer up," Anna translated. The dark brown haired shaman once again nodded but this time he burst into tears, showing no sign of ending. His friends could only look on with pain in their hearts.
"Don't be so sensitive Asakura." Ren asked as he walked towards them.
Manta glared at him. "How could you be so rude Ren?!" He shouted, a new wave of tears coming through, "Yoh's clearly grieving!"
"I know he's grieving you idiot." The dark blue haired shaman retorted calmly, "But there's more to his tears. He's upset because it's just occurred to him that if his Shamanic abilities never return then he will never be able to see any of his friends when they die. And I'm telling him not to be so sensitive because people die every day. Although we are Shamans, that rule still applies to us. We must depart from our loved ones some time or another. Even spirits will eventually pass on."
Anna, Tamao and Manta looked at Ren before looking towards to Yoh, anticipating his reaction. Their friend did nothing for a couple of seconds before a genuine smile spread across his face. The moment was disrupted by Lyserg scoffing loudly and turning on his heel.
"Running away again?" The dark blue haired shaman asked evenly as he friend walked passed him.
Lyserg turned to face him. "What did you just say?"
"I asked if you were running away. You seem to do that whenever the going gets tough."
"No I don't!" The green haired shaman replied, anger increasing with each new word. "You know damn all of what I'm feeling!"
"Oh don't I? You can't handle seeing Yoh so upset because let's face it Diethyl, you're the one who's responsible for that and it's too much too handle for you. It's the Shaman Fight all over again. Yoh didn't want to kill Hao by any means possible and you couldn't deal with it and so you left us. You need to learn how to grow up and move on with your life. Ryu would have wanted you to."
"I have moved on from that!" Lyserg answered defensively.
Ren folded his arms. "No you haven't. Opacho's arrival reminded you of Hao which in turn reminded you of what he did to your parents, so you let your anger out on her. That is why I said you need to grow up. You're still acting like a spoiled child."
Enraged, the green haired shaman head butted his friend causing him to fall onto the floor. Ren responded by getting up on his feet, aiming a punch towards Lyserg's face but someone had grabbed his wrist. The dark blue haired shaman looked to see who it was who had stopped him and to his surprise it was Horohoro. It wasn't his presence that got everyone's attention, it was his solemn face. "Don't hit him..." He whispered in a tone that was heavy with rage.
"Why are you defending him?" Ren snapped back, pulling his arm away from Horohoro aggressively.
"I'm not..." He suddenly glared at Lyserg. "I just want to be the one who hurts him... No matter how much you sugar coat it, it was HIS fault Ryu died!"
"Would everyone stop saying that?! Don't you all think I feel bad enough as it is that Ryu was trying to save me?!"
"No I don't! If you truly felt bad you wouldn't even be here! Just seeing your face... I want to punch it repeatedly..."
"Fine! If you want to hurt me so much..." The green haired shaman raised his right arm in front of Horohoro before silently summoning Morphine in the crystal pendulum hanging from a device on his wrist. Smirking, Horohoro pulled out his ikupasi.
"If that's how you want to do it, I'll gladly take you on." The light blue haired shaman retorted haughty.
Manta, Tamao, Ren and Yoh all looked towards Anna, knowing she had something to say. "Whatever," she sighed, waving her hand dismissively, "Just don't kill each other. I'm already organising one funeral; I don't need to be doing another one." She walked off down the corridor and out of sight, Tamao following closely behind.
Ignoring the women retreating, Lyserg asked his opposition, "When and where?"
"Right now, outside." Horohoro replied.
He allowed everyone to walk ahead of him. As he stood on the threshold of the door that led to the garden, he glanced at the memorial the stood by it. "Don't worry Ryu," he thought while tears ran down his face, "I'll avenge you."
It's been too long since I submmitted a chapter!!!!
Anyway, I apologise to any Lyserg fans if I made him too much of an idiot. I really didn't mean to...
